The Master Bedroom. A storage fantasy coming true!

The desire to have a master bedroom in a home that really didn't offer a dominant space left us with a challenge.

     We aimed for a masterful suite of simple luxury with the help of a few tough demo tools and the plans for more storage.

     We filled many Demo Bags as we stripped the crumbling plaster back to the block and broke through a wall to create a little extra built-in wardrobe storage space.

     Using some of the organizational elements from Thomasville Cabinetry's options list, we've designed two banks of wardrobe heaven!

It took us the better part of a Sunday to install the wide-plank pine flooring.

We gave the floor an extra touch of farmhouse-style with cut nails. It takes some time and muscle, but we love the look.

Our 100-year-old house has settled, so the floors a bit wavy. It takes some carpentry prepwork to make sure the cabinets start their lifetime level.

The first cabinet takes extra care.

The new hardware provides a traditional touch to the bedroom. And they are easy to use, too.
